Old Warriors Water Hunt photos - Lynne Glazer
50 miler only.
What a glorious day to be riding, crisp spring weather in the mountains--riders got new snow at the top, at the lunch check we got ice pellets and then light rain. The light was often dramatic in the afternoon, and I am a sucker for storm light, takes my breath away, so I took lots of candids at that vet check. The trail shots were at the 18 mile point, from slightly above a considerable hop up a rocky stairstep, and it was fun to shoot from the vantage point of a huge granite rock overlooking a year-round creek. Another well-managed ride from the Walker-Nollner family, the baton handed over by Vicki Greene who hosted us at her beautiful Weathertop Farm. The ranchhouse atmosphere, live band and great food were really appreciated. The showers stopped before the last riders finished. Susan Garlinghouse and Fred Beasom vetted, so anyone trying this tough and scenic ride could be assured of a collaborative approach to the best assessment possible of their mounts.
Unedited proofs are uploading now at http://www.photo.lynnesite.com/gallery/4532203_JNQ5w View as "all thumbs" to find a particular person or place the fastest.
